The Burkina Faso one Table Lamp
In the West African country of Burkina Faso, live the Kassena people, one of the oldest ethnic groups in the country. They create their traditional houses in the Gourounsi architecture method – with straw and clay, as well as effusively decorating their external walls with black, white and red abstract motifs and a plethora of triangles. These two lamps in this collection are strongly inspired by tessellations of surface filling triangles. The lamp bases have been lovingly cast in concrete using this logic of nested triangles.
